GapFill
Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-07
These terms apply when a Shopify store installs and uses GapFill: GA4 Server Tracking (“GapFill”, “the app”). GapFill is provided by ULTRO Inc. (“ULTRO”, “we”), 2-19-15 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan. “You” means the business that operates the store.
1. Agreeing to these terms
You agree to these terms when you install the app, and again when you approve sending after the dry run. If you use the app on behalf of a company or a client, you confirm that you have the authority to agree for them. GapFill is a tool for businesses and is not offered to consumers.
2. What GapFill does
- GapFill compares the orders in your Shopify store with the purchases recorded in your own Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property and shows the orders GA4 did not record.
- After a dry run (a period of recording without sending) and your approval, GapFill sends those orders to your GA4 property through the GA4 Measurement Protocol. Depending on your settings, it also sends orders paid inside AI assistants and social apps, orders from other routes, subscription renewals, refunds and cancellations.
- GapFill adds to the tag you already use. It does not replace your GA4 tag, and it does not send data to any destination other than your GA4 property.
3. Your responsibilities
- You have the right to connect the Shopify store and the GA4 property, and the Google account you connect has permission to edit that property.
- You decide what GapFill sends. Check the dry run results and the Settings page before you approve sending, and review them when you change your store, your GA4 setup or your other tracking tools.
- You obtain any consent that the law requires from your customers and keep your own privacy notice up to date. GapFill follows the consent status that Shopify reports for each customer.
- You follow the terms of Shopify and Google that apply to you, including the Google Analytics terms and the Measurement Protocol policies.
- You do not misuse the app, try to access other stores’ data, or interfere with how the app runs.
4. Fees
- The missing purchases report is free. Sending requires the paid plan. The price, what it includes and the usage charge are shown on the Shopify App Store listing and on the Billing page in the app.
- All charges are made through Shopify’s billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice. The free trial period is shown when you start the plan.
- Usage is counted per order sent to GA4. Fees already charged are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
- If we change prices, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance. Shopify will ask you to approve a new price before it applies.
5. Measurement accuracy
GapFill is built to avoid sending an order that GA4 already has: it checks GA4 by transaction ID before sending and stops automatically when your GA4 tag appears to be broken. Even so, we cannot guarantee that the numbers in GA4 will be complete, free of duplicates or equal to your Shopify sales. In particular:
- GA4 processes data on its own schedule and by its own rules. An order may appear late, may be attributed differently from what you expect, or may be counted twice if GA4 records it after GapFill has sent it.
- Other apps, tags or server-side tools that send purchases to the same GA4 property can cause duplicates that GapFill cannot detect in advance.
- Google and Shopify can change their products, APIs and policies at any time, and this can change what GapFill is able to send or how GA4 treats it.
- Events that have been sent to GA4 cannot be edited or deleted by GapFill.
You are responsible for the decisions you make from your GA4 data, including advertising budgets, bids and reports to third parties. We do not compensate for differences in GA4 figures, for duplicated or missing events, or for the results of decisions based on them, except as set out in section 10.
6. If something goes wrong
If you notice incorrect data, pause sending on the Settings page and contact us. If the cause is on our side, we will fix it as soon as we reasonably can and tell you what happened.
7. Availability and changes
GapFill depends on services run by Shopify, Google and Cloudflare, and we do not promise that it will be available without interruption. We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue the app or remove a feature you pay for, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance where we reasonably can.
8. Ending use
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app; sending stops immediately and charges stop according to Shopify’s billing rules. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use puts the app or other stores at risk, or if Shopify or Google requires us to. How your data is deleted is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Ownership
ULTRO owns the app and its content. Your store data and your GA4 data remain yours. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Warranty and limitation of liability
- The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it fits a particular purpose or that its results are accurate or complete.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost revenue, wasted advertising spend and loss of data.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the fees you paid for GapFill in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
- These limits do not apply to damage caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.
11. Privacy and data processing
How GapFill handles data is described in the Privacy Policy. Where GapFill processes personal data of your store’s customers on your behalf, the Data Processing Addendum applies and forms part of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute relating to the app or these terms.
14. Language
A Japanese translation is available for reference. If the two versions differ, this English version prevails.
